Good Points
If you apply on line then you qualify for a discount.

Bad Points
Once they have your money they don't want to know you!!

General Comments
Received my renewal from Direct Line and it had gone up considerably although I had not made a claim.

But worse still was that I found out by accident that if I applied on-line again for a new policy then it was cheaper than the renewal I had been sent in the post.

When I telephoned Customer Services they were rude and unhelpful especially when I queried as to why present customers were not offered the same discounted rate as to what was available on line.

In other words they were trying to hide the fact that you could get the same insurance cheaper but were failing to tell their current customers hoping that they will just accept the over inflated renewal quote.

What a way to treat current customers. They are an absolute disgrace and what they are doing brings into question their business methods and one wonders if this is happening with their other insurance cover as well. Needless to say I have dropped them like a ton of hot bricks and gone elsewhere.
