Good Points
The egyptologist was very knowledgable and made the trips around the many temples and sites more interesting.
If booking a balloon ride do this while in Luxor if you are staying for an extra week as it is only £35 if booked throught 'Jolleys' along the front near the 'Winter Palace' as the rep wanted £70
All food is prepared using bottled water, including soups, juices & washing salads
Bad Points
Boat looks a little tired now could do with a bit of a make over, still a great experience
Early mornings for trips takes it out of you but is essential to beat the crowds and the heat of the day
General Comments
This was our first cruise and we were pleasantly suprised at how relaxed the atmosphere was on board, smart casual dress was enough to wear for evening meals, the cabin was large and beds very comfortable, the large picture window was wonderful to sit and watch the banks of the nile drift by, the rooms were clean and had a fridge & safe at no extra cost. The general facilities were very good and had a mid deck bar and upper deck bar, the restaurant had something for everyone, a salad bar, plenty of hot dishes usually around six different dishes to chose from including pasta, potatoes, varoius veg, beans and a couple of meat dishes, a variety of breads & a selection of deserts and fresh fruit. going all inclusive is a must as drinks could work out very expensive, and included local beer, wine & spirits, soft drinks, coffe/tea & bottled water, (handy to keep in fridge for trips out).
once seated at your table on the first day is where you wil remain for the duration of the cruise, hi to Sarah & her mum, Graham & Margaret if you are reading this, thanks for your great company on board and for the laughs we had especially on the 'Galabaya' night, this is a great evening of dressing in traditional clothing, and partying the night away.
