“The Wonders of the Nile Lady Mary cruise was our first...”

Written on: 29/08/2006 by naneve (1 review written)

Good Points
Staff were polite and friendly, especially the man who cleaned our cabin.
Large variety of food at every sitting catered for all tastes, and being allocated a dining table for people of similar age groups was great.
The scenery was amazing and the visits to Temples etc was incredible.

Bad Points
Not being told that some visits, ie: Abu Simbel, would cost more money. They should inform people prior to the cruise that it is optional so that they have enough money should they want to go, as it is difficult to find a cash machine in some places.

General Comments
The Wonders of the Nile Lady Mary cruise was our first cruise, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday. Lady Mary was spotless throughout. The food was incredible, and the entertainment was fascinating. It was wonderful to see different sculptures made from towels on our bed every day. For 7 wonderful days we were treated like royalty, and although we visited many places, sitting on the sun deck after our evening meal was incredibly pleasing. Listening to the call to prayer, seeing the Minorettes illuminated and watching local people continue working. The Felucca was great, and also the Nubian village visit. The people are warm and friendly, and our Egyptologists answered endless questions. So many wonderful memories, and mostly a relaxing holiday. I have already recommended this cruise to family and friends, and we are considering going again.
