General Comments
I booked flights to South Amerca with Lastminute and paid by credit card. Within a few hours circumstances dictated that I cancel the flights. I phoned the company, followed the computerised pathway and, eventually, told that I would be transferred to an agent to discus the cancellation. Yet another computer appeared telling me to go to the website and fill in a form. I eventually found the form and filled in the details. I thought I would call the company to confirm. It took 45 minutes and a number of conversations with computers and humans, always transferred to someone else, before I was routed to an independent travel agent! They gave me another number. This was answered by a human and I was only transferred once and, yes, I was able to cancel my flight - no mention of the form I had filled in earlier. I also found out that if you email: [email protected] - you will be replied to fairly quickly. If you book, hope nothing else changes - they are not interested once they have your money.
