General Comments
Okay, I've owned a number of C02 Pistols in the past five years and this RWS C225 is the one I wish i'd started with. I bought this gun about three weeks ago and was dead pleased with the whole package, like other high quality pistols it comes in a hand held case containing a tin of pellets (flatheads unfortunately, but good for plinking).
I went straight to the garden for a shoot upon my arrival home and loaded up the beast. The first shot exploded out the barrel with a heck of a noise and slammed into the beer can I had set up approx Twenty feet away. Whoa! I inspected the can and it had torn clean through. The power was quite surprising, although I was aware it's firing at 435 feet per second it seemed like more.
I gradually discovered that this immense power dwindles away a bit after the first clip of 8.
The clip itself is very well fitted into the chamber and the mechanism which opens the top slide is extremely smooth and sturdy, leaving you flicking it open and shut again just for the satisfying feel of it. The realism is top notch thanks to the blued steel finish.
One thing to mention is the safety, which serves no real purpose, it just uncocks the hammer if already pulled back. One tends to get about Sixty (60) decent shots out of a C02 bulb, before it starts shooting at the power of a BB gun. The accuracy is very good but not great, however it is getting excellent 'grouping' at twenty feet. Overall, in a nutshell anybody reading this thinking of buying it, I would say go for it!
