I got a BSA Meteor when I was thirteen with a tin of .177 pellets and since then it has shot like a dream. I was amazed by it's longevity; my father received that same rifle for his sixteenth birthday! I have never had any major problems with it and nor have I heard of any. The sights are obviously not the best for a 10-12 metre range rifle like the Meteor, so I would recommend buying a telescopic scope. The gun is quite light and when fired it gives off satisfying recoil but not enough to affect the pellet.
I couldn't give this rifle a ten because of course, it is not perfect, but I would strongly recommend that you get this gun, especially if you are starting out in shooting.
