This is my third or fourth Tefal Pro Express Steam Generator iron (you'd think I would have learnt by now!!). It is 2 years and one month old, and the baseplate has lost all its heat, meaning that the steam still comes through, but converts to water and spits out of the baseplate, soaking my clothes and leaving filthy water marks all over my garments. Tefal offered me free collection, but said I would have to pay for an assessment and the costs of the actual repair, or they offered a discount on another iron. I declined these offers as all I wanted was a goodwill repair doing. My previous Tefal irons all died their death too, none lasting longer than about 2 years. I had one with the faulty cable, where the silk protective covering seemed to shrink, leaving the steam cable uncovered and very hot. Also, we had green goo oozing out of one cable cover....very scary to think that something was melting around the steam cable. Another one suddenly made a loud bang and steam shot out from under the unit, leaving me too scared to use it. I have ordered a Philips Steam Generator now. My experience with Tefal has sadly come to an end. Would I recommend? Most certainly NOT.
