Good Points
Fairly cheap, generally does a decent job of washing the dishes but not at all good at dried on stuff!

Bad Points
Fascia layout and angling is really awful - in my kitchen people often lean on the fascia and reset the program part way through which is infuriating. The cutlery basket is very flimsy and now has several holes - I know you can replace it fairly cheaply but why couldn't they use an extra penny-worth of plastic in the first place?

General Comments
The Hotpoint FDW60 Dishwasher is a fairly typical current dishwasher! I couldn't actually say that it has any really good points unfortunately. I bought it on special offer a couple of years back so I'm not really disappointed with it I just can't say anything good about it! I have found that it's really important how you load it and that the 'eco' setting can produce TERRIBLE wash results combined with less than optimal loading. I also used hot water to fill it for a while which can only be described as a BAD idea - the manual does tell you NOT to do this so my advice would be DONT! On this electronic machine you don't even get a time saving with hot water!
