Good Points
The good points are that it has two tuners, so you can record while watching another channel, a spectacular light show when playing back recordings, I have on a few occasions started recording after the beginning of a program but found that the recorder has included the missing beginning.
Bad Points
The bad points are that it can overheat and lock out, a small hard drive so I didn't manage to record all of Glastonbury while I was away, there just wasn't enough room on the hard drive. A USB would be handy to transfer video files from the box to my PC.
General Comments
I bought my Thomson from Dixons but at a reduced price due to it being out of box with no remote or instructions, with the correct remote it can do a lot, even including subtitles. I think it's a class act and overall very reliable as mine is now about two years old.
