Good Points
tips!
Take a travel kettle, teabags and UHT milk for your early morning cuppa. no facilities in the room.
Take your own snorkel kits as to hire or buy is very expensive.
Go to the Tanour restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the hotels best kept secret.
Don't bother with evening meal at Beach Restaurant. Expensive and poor seafood.
Do go to swim with the dolphins in Eilat. Fantastic experience and not the horrid captive creatures of Florida etc.
Take a water filter and plenty of Imodium!
Ask one of the animation team (just Joe and Dasha when we were there) to take you for a snorkel. They know where to find the big stuff! Turtles, stingrays, octopus etc. Well worth it.
Tip the pool man and he will reserve your chosen sunbed every day, so no towel battles!

Bad Points
The cost of extras i.e. drinks, ice creams, mineral water, all very expensive and no way out from paying. £4.50 gin and tonic, £1.10 can of coke, £1 bottle of mineral water.
The hotel is it! there isn't anything out there apart from desert. no town to pop in to, and don't both visiting the other hotels. none as good as the Hyatt.
The food in the main dining room is very disappointing. poorly cooked, dull and uninspiring. I expect more of a 5*plus hotel. worst of all is the huge queues that build up for the main dining room. unacceptable!
Some of the staff are surly and rude and service in the main dining room very slow. often drinks turning up after we'd finished eating.
Don't expect the evening entertainment to be much!
We took a ten and twelve year old, and there were no organised activities for them. Luckily they met a few great kids and made their own fun.

General Comments
The Hyatt Regency Hotel is beautifully laid out, with many relaxing options. five pools and the beach to choose from the hotel never felt crowded, even at full occupancy.

The snorkelling from the end of the jetty is the very best in the world. superb! breath-taking!

Our accommodation was excellent. our rooms were huge, with fabulous bathrooms, Egyptian style domed ceiling and magnificent views across the beach, red sea and mountains beyond.

The base cost of our holiday, taken with Longwood, was good value for money.
