I had been with Tiscali for over 6 years, no problems hence I kept renewing my contract. Talk Talk get involved and now I am leaving them. My bill was 2 weeks overdue (simply due to Christmas costs) and they barred my home phone and cut off the internet. No reminder letter/e-mail, no phone call to remind me, straight to cutting me off. When I tried to use my home phone I was put through to their payment line but when I tried to speak to someone I was cut off repeatedly. Couldn't pay thro the automated system as needed 10 digit account number but I couldn't get that as internet was cut off. Mobile call later, costing a fortune and being hung up on 4 times I managed to pay the bill. It then took them 28 hours to reconnect me even tho my account was paid. They say this is normal but i'm still being charged for those 28 hours they didn't provide me a service!!
Now I find out they have taken over my phone line & practically every other supplier wants to charge me between £60-£80 to put a new line in!!! I was never told of this and can't believe they are allowed to do it. They have basically hijacked my phone line. I have found a new provider who have told me I need to change my phone number just to get rid of Tiscali/Talk Talk.
After approx 9 calls I was finally put through to an English call centre and had to waste 10 mins of my life speaking to someone who kept trying to talk me into staying. I had to politely tell them to p*ss off & stop begging for custom! Stay away from them.
