Good Points
A brutal revenge tale by Shane Meadows. Fine fatalistic script. Some good performances against a great one-off Considine; Meadows film is not influenced by Guy Ritchie or Matthew Vaughn (thank God). It has real teeth and a sense of locale that Mike Leigh would be proud of.
Bad Points
Some of the supporting performances look a bit forced.
General Comments
Dead Man's Shoes won't suit those tastes spoiled by Hollywood's slick approach to revenge tales. You won't think about a suitcase the same way after seeing this. (I won't spoil it)!
