Location is great for Looe and especially Polperro. Quite a nice view from many caravans/chalets. We found the staff very friendly and relaxed, and the shop stocked all the essentials. The indoor pool and sauna were much better than we were expecting, but the changing areas were very basic. The clubhouse did some tasty meals, and the bingo caller had a very droll sense of humour!
The caravan we stayed in was a bit 'tired' (we were on a newspaper promotion booking after all!) but it was very clean with all the facilities we were expecting. Generally the main buildings could do with updating. Limited things for children to do if they don't like swimming, but as we didn't have any children with us, not a problem.
We enjoyed our stay here. The site is well maintained but you get the feeling it needs a bit of investment money to bring it up to date. It is clean and tidy, the evening entertainment is good-natured and the bar & food prices were OK (I would not have been happy to pay more though - Seaview, take note!). We went at the end of the season (mid-October) so I think things were winding down for the winter. If you are expecting sophisticated facilities, you may be disappointed: we wanted somewhere clean, reasonably priced, close to the Cornish villages we had come to see & where we could have a few drinks & a bar meal in the evenings, and we found it here. We would visit again, based on our experience this time
