“We stayed in a Poldark caravan at Seaview Holiday...”

Written on: 19/08/2008 by barginfan (1 review written)

Good Points
Good base to explore Looe and Polperro area.

Bad Points
Plenty.

General Comments
We stayed in a Poldark caravan at Seaview Holiday Village, Hoseasons.
We have caravanned before and didn't expect The Ritz, BUT:

Water pressure in the morning was non-existent, a shower was impossible as the pressure was so low that the boiler would not kick in.

Some of the windows wouldn't close properly unless you went outside to push the hinge side into place, not good when it rained.

I felt the mattresses were only fit for the rubbish tip, the single mattresses springs were very uncomfortable we used spare quilts to pad them out a bit.

The fold out bed in the living area was unuseable as it had no support left in it, the 7th member of our party had to use an inflatable bed we bought. We used the mattress off the fold out bed to pad out another bed, that mattress was badly stained.

The shower wasn't cleaned very well, it was badly marked with what appeared to be mildew.

There was something wrong with the floor as my foot went through the floor in front of the shower.

I think the site could do with a revamp too, the crazy golf course was full of dead leaves making it unuseable and the toddlers outdoor pool looked very green.

Lots of traffic noise too, ours was close to the site entrance, it might be quieter at the bottom end of the site but I doubt it.

In summary, never gain.

We have stayed at other sites just down the road, Trelawne Manor and Kilminorth Farm, much better.
