I hired a car in september, myself and family drove a short distance when the clutch broke. I was charged 1900 pounds for a 30 mile drive. We got back to the uk and complained, this was met with Avis, telling us they could do nothing etc. So we took our complaint to the ECRES. They said we had no case to answer to and that a full refund should be given. Job done. However!!!! Avis refunded us 619 pounds. I rang to ask where the rest was, they put the telephone down three times. Before I spoke to another very kind gentleman who actually took time to read the notes and raised that a full refund had not been given. That was the start of November. Today I rang to follow up my refund still not recieved! And was told it was up to the station I rented from.. So telephone them .. No idea what Im talking about! Ring back head office... Round and round with still 1232 pounds owing!!
