“I flew with Thomas cook in January 2008 from Gatwick...”

written by tinydancer on 31/03/2008

Bad Points
The seats, the staff dealing with difficult passengers, the entertainment, the plane.

General Comments
I flew with Thomas cook in January 2008 from Gatwick to Barbados. I have to say the flight out and return was so bad that it has put me off of flying ever again, I have suffered panic attacks and nightmares at the thought of flying and I will not be going to a destination that requires flying to again.

We had aggressive drunk people on the flight, which the cabin crew did nothing about except for sell them more alcohol, this put us in fear of what was going to happen through out the whole 8 hours with these people.

The legroom on the flight was very poor, I am only 4ft 7 and had difficulty! My brother who isn't small, but not particularly large either was very cramped in his seat and could not put the arm rest down without it digging into him. At our arrival to Barbados we were left to sit on the plane for 40 minutes in a very hot heat with no explanation as to why. The tv's on the flight did not work, we were given free drinks instead which made the situation with the drunk aggressive passengers worse.

Thanks to Thomas Cook I will not be flying again, and I have complained but not got anywhere yet. I would never recommend Thomas Cook.
