General Comments
We should be traveling to Hurghada tomorrow and were just leaving for the airport hotel when the phone rang. It was an independent travel agent saying Thomas Cook had moved us from the Mamlouk Palace to the Holiday Resort Hotel. There was no negotiation it was this hotel or nothing. We chose nothing and now look forward to two weeks of cold not the warmth we were expecting. I went into Thomsons travel agent later and the hotel we were offered was starred in red on their computer as not very good which was confirmed by reading reviews on the web.

In 2006 we went to Turkey with Thomas Cook for the total eclipse of the sun and we had a change of date, airport and hotel. We paid extra for a seaview room and we could not have been further from the sea if we tried. It was only the intervention of ABTA threatening them with legal action which prompted TC to refund our extra money a year later. Does this tell you something.
