Good Points
Cheap Holidays
Bad Points
Cheap holidays that don't exist.
Told differing things by customer service operatives.
They never call you back, when promised.
They hang up on you.
Refuse to give reasons in writing?
General Comments
I booked a holiday in Oct 2006 for Oct 2007 for the family of 7, paid a deposit and received a confirmation letter, everything great so far.
I then received a letter from Thomas Cook four months later saying that the rooms in the apartment we booked were an error on their part and we would have to pay extra for the one we originally wanted, I said absolutely not as it was their error. To cut a long story short here we are 8 days later with a monumental phone bill and lots of stress having to give up. They even told us legally that I do not have a leg to stand on, all this leaves a bad taste in the mouth as they have been very smug in rubbing our noses in it. When I asked for reasons in writing they refused?
I am going to contact Watchdog as I can't believe this has only happened to us, I will never ever use Thomas Cook again and I suggest you all think twice too.
