My tobacco red Guild D25 has been my companion through life -- I'm 51 and bought it off a floor rack at a Sam Ash on Long Island when I was 17 -- using $450 from my first government college grant check. (In those days, they mailed the money straight to you.) Solid, bright as a bell with a ballsy bottom, if I didn't have 2 kids who play I'd ask to be buried with this baby. Rumour has it the D25 can play bottom heavy in the studio. I don't know from experience as I haven't recorded with it. If I were doing it again, I couldn't imagine choosing a different guitar.
