I'd not been to Wet n' Wild since I was 16 (am now 28), and I read some of the reviews posted on here before I went which did put me off a bit! Having been today, I had a really good time! The place was pretty much how I remembered it with one extra slide. I think some of the reviews posted err on the negative side a little too much - I didn't notice any mould growing up slides, nor would that really matter if it was on the outside and they were in full working order. Regarding the point about closed slides - some slides were closed for 1/2 hr periods whilst lifeguards were rotated around. You could gain access to them at different times. There were queues for rubber rings outside some slides implying a shortage. There was no shortage though, it was just part of the queue for the slide
I do think that the water was a bit too cold though. You get used to it after a while but it could be made a more comfortable with better heating. Food is poor like it always was, but you don't go there for that. Some of the locks need fixing in the changing room doors but obviously you can just find one that locks before you get changed.
Was happy with the day!
