Good Points
Sound quality, decent battery life, excellent recording facilities
Bad Points
Ludicrously slow to find tracks if you have a large collection, no remote control, takes ages to start up
General Comments
The iRiver H340 is, in many ways, a superb player which I would wholeheartedly recommend in most departments, but with one HUGE reservation. Its shortcomings in navigating a large collection are so dire, I can only assume those who have had no problem with it only have a few tracks, a very limited number of different albums and artist, or the patience of a saint (and yes I do know how to use it properly!). The problem is that there is no fast scroll mechanism, and the scroll speed is slow to begin with. The result is, if like you me you have several hundred different artists, even scrolling through the artists takes up to a minute, let alone by album or song! It's almost unbelievable how bad the navigation is, and I can only think it was designed by technical wizards with absolutely no experience of coping with a large mp3 collection. Apart from that (!), it's great.
