“(Slough Branch) Misleading & Extremely bad customer...”

I hired a car for 1 day. When I collected the car I was offered a discount if I wanted to keep the car for longer at the time I said no, but I was told I could phone up if I changed my mind.
I decided it would be good to keep the car longer so I phoned up as discussed and ended up speaking to the Branch manger who told me they don't normally offer discounts and it got very awkward when she started saying that the clerk who initially hired the car too me should not have offered such things. If I couldn't get a discount I would have just returned the car, but the branch manager lead me to believe I could keep the car longer and get some sort of a discount.

When I returned the vehicle both members of staff changed there story and said the discount was only valid if I accepted when I first hired the car. I felt I was entrapped and ended up having to pay the full rate. having know this I would not have kept the car longer.

I have been using Thrifty for the last 5 years and normally spend around £2000 a year. I won't be using them anymore.

With there new office to pay for you would think they would want to keep returning customers, but with service like is!!!!
