“Excellent Service but not the fastest”

written by GillWilson on 05/11/2016

Insurance2Go cover for iPhone 6S

Have dealt with I2G with two phones. Excellent customer service - the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Claiming is not quick - lots of documents to submit before you even send the phone in. Need to allow at least a month from start of claim to getting a repaired phone back so you will need a spare phone from somewhere! Found them via Martin Lewis' site and having dealt with them I trust them to insure my phones going forward. Were very good insuring a replacement phone on the same policy whilst mine was in for repair - and they then automatically reinsured the repaired phone once it came back to me and uninsured the temporary one (without being asked). They also put the temporary phone on the account without batting an eyelid. It might be better if they gave you the option of sending in all the documents for them to keep on file when you take out insurance, just to speed up the process when you come to claim, which is the bit you want to be quick!

Also, my daughter's phone was insured by me as I pay the monthly rental. Be aware that if your immediate family don't reside at your address then the insurance is not valid and they have to take out a separate insurance policy themselves - even if the phone is in your name and you pay the premium. I found out by accident (or I could have read the small print!) but it could have been nasty had I claimed, as you have to prove they live at home with you, and therefore she would actually not have had insurance.

All in all though, a good, solid firm to deal with.
