“WORST HOLIDAY COMPANY EVER - AVOID AT ALL COSTS”

I have booked holidays with several online holiday companies, and normally the experience has been OK overall. Until I booked with Loveholiays.com. Huge mistake.

We went to Greece last summer (2016), and chose a room that was advertised by Loveholidays as being self catering "with everything you need". This was Sunny Days Hotel in Ixia, Rhodes. It also claimed there was a jacuzzi, which appealed to me given my bad back.

Anyway, once we got there, we found that we barely had a SPOON let alone fully equipped self catering facilities. The "kitchen" was about 1 metre wide, and we only had two pots, one fork, one knife, a few cheap plates, and a kettle, and that was IT.

The place was falsely advertised - the room was an absolute dump and felt more like a jail cell than a hotel room, and linens weren't changed and the electric kept going out, and the staff were horrible and bullish.

We complained to Loveholidays whilst still on holiday. They refused to relocate us, said everywhere else was booked. However the rep on the phone did recognise my distress, and he said that we should get some compensation and advised us to file a claim upon our return and take lots of photographs. So we did.

We emailed the claim to them the day after we got back to the UK ,and sent around 20 photos of the room where it clearly showed very scant supplies and substandard room that again was NOT how it was advertised online...!

SO we waited 28 days, and heard nothing back at all. Not even a confirmation for our claim/email.

We then emailed them back, resending all photos with it and asking again for at least partial compensation for the fact our holiday was ruined by having been misled and incurring additional expense because we could not cook much at all given the lack of supplies provided and so had to eat at fast food places so we didn't go hungry...

They then forwarded us a letter from the hotel itself, whereby they lied about us in broken English, claiming that we wanted everything for "free" (we asked for salt) and Loveholidays used this to REFUSE us ANY compensation. They also claimed that the hotel was advertised accurately. Yeah, rite...

We are left absolutely disgusted and we will never again book with this company, who should have compensated us even a bit, and who should have removed this hotel from it's books.

You are better off going with just about any other online holiday company.

SHAMEFUL!!!
