“Extremely bad customer service”

written by acazza on 03/11/2016

My father 95 with dementia, I am POA for him. Rang to ask Reassure to change my Dads address to his now Care Home. They asked for copy of my POA, I sent it in, they returned it to my fathers Care Home, not to my home address. Could of easily gone astray. Next after sending POA they wanted more identification. They wanted my Passport, driving license or similar, I said no way will I be sending my passport to an insurance company, so sent in a copy with Solicitors stamp on it. Rang them again, they said this is not acceptable. Then they said that could my Dad ring them, I arranged this and then they put the poor man through enormous stress by asking him questions that a 95 year old with Dementia would be impossible to answer. Every time I ring this company they want something more, why can't they tell you this at the very first phone call? The staff have no compassion. and I have told them repeatedly that my Dad has a new address, and they will not change this unless I provide this ID. So they now knowingly be sending out any information to an incorrect address.
I have read other reviews on this company, they are all bad, what can an individual do about this?
