WE decided this year as a family of 5 to have a holiday at Christmas time at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest - we chose a central postion 'Comfort' Villa for 2 nights . It was to be our first visit to a Center Parcs and definately our last......

We were very disappointed. Having paid £580 for 2 nights (27th - 29th December) we do NOT feel we had value for money.

We had an old 'Box' TV that was in the 'standby' position - but NO TV controller - with no means of operating the TV at all - we hunted for 30 mins before calling 'Guest Services' who told me someone would be out asap - 3 hours later we went out - no TV controller !! after complaining the following day again 24 hours later someone delivered one !!! The bedrooms and bathroom had mildew and mould around the windows and tiles , the cleaning was poor with greasy mirrors , rubbish under the settee and grime all around the fridge , a puddle kept appearing on the kitchen floor from some sort of leak under the sink and a continuous dripping / tapping noise coming from the master bedroom ceiling/roof kept me awake all night !!. The cooker-hood light was Broken and no grill / oven tray was provided - although we were given the grill tray handle ????

The sofa is almost impossible to sit on unless you're under 10yrs old, it is just so uncomfortable and the cushions kept slipping off.

The food in the restaurants is less than good, the price is extortionate, portions small and the service rubbish.

Take my advise don't waste your money - go to Premier inn for £40 a night - with a 'Good night sleep' Guarantee
