“doesnt do what it says on the tin”

John Lewis for all of its partners, representatives and assistants is unfortunately let down by senior head office staff who would rather you shop elsewhere than complain about their company.
Id say the only think that works is click and collect; the rest is as bad as a combination of yodel on Christmas eve and the post office in 1970.
Both yodel and the royal mail have made inroads into improving and are contactable but john lewis - were it not around - would not be around.
Its is consistently let down by its IT department and its distribution arm- both of whom have taken on those sacked by double glazing firms and British Leyland for being too dim.
The problem is that all companies rely on the same outdated systems and John Lewis should not pretend it is any better than any of those.
Id say shop there but always have a plan B for when they let you down
