Open University was a complete waste of my time and money.
I spoke to a tutor and told him that I had not studied in over 10 yrs. I would need to get back into schooling slowly.
As my first courses to take, they placed me in the two mid-level courses, not foundation, telling me that it was almost the same study material.
I found out later that they were the two most difficult courses of the program with a passing rate of 60% and that it was ridiculous for me to attempt them prior to doing the foundation courses first.
Tutors are never around and you have to call their home number to speak to them.
They answer you with "read pg....", or "I think you'll need a tutor"
They pricing in Hong Kong is higher than a 1st rate university also.
The study material is horrible. Videos look like they were filmed in the 80's and so boring I couldn't stay awake to watch them. For my books, I had to travel 45 mins and locate a small industrial building where their book distributer desk was hidden. Photocopies they pass out are faded and look like they're a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy.....
Stay away from UO...
