I had completed the science foundation course years ago and I found it enjoyable and the tutor was helpful and passionate about the subject. I recently signed up for the law course and it's a whole different kettle of fish. It seems as if the tutors only sign up for the job to get free access to the legal data base to help their activities outside the OU in the legal profession, as they don't seem interested in teaching and helping students. I asked for advice about one of my grades as a person outside of the OU who had been in the legal profession for many years told me that I should have been getting higher grades, but my OU tutor seemed to take it personal that I would dare to question him and for the rest of the year acted arrogant and unhelpful. For a course that costs nearly £2000 a year, I think it's awful.
