“Waste of money do not purchase”

We were given a Fine Times Together Experiences for 2 Voucher as a Golden Wedding Anniversary gift which had cost the giver £99. There were 11 experiences to chose from including National Parks and coastal breaks.There was a choice of a number of private hotels and Guest Houses to chose from for a 1 night stay with breakfast. On checking the rooms offered were the cheapest available at the establishment and on the date chosen this room was £60 if booked direct that's £39 less than the voucher value. This is not a criticism of the establishment as they explained there is a big discount to the voucher company and they actually lose money unless people spend whist there.We have actually paid an additional £10 for an upgrade. This is typical of others we have checked and other experiences eg English Heritage are very much cheaper to purchase direct. The giver of these type of gifts should be aware that the value of what they are buying as a gift is nowhere near what they are actually paying for it and I am sure they would be very disappointed to find out the real cut being taken by this company.It is a hastle from start to finish just read the other reviews and AVOID !!!!!
