“lost parcel”

I ordered an item (TiVo Box) from Virgin media which should have arrived today. I called Yodel customer service at 17:45 hours today after waiting all day. The gentleman I talked to informed me that an attempt was made to deliver the parcel today at lunchtime. No item was delivered, neither was any card dropped through the leter box by a supposed driver. I have no card or tracking number. What is going on YODAL
