Good Points
Even in the wild winter months when we visited the setting is as wild and dramatic as I am sure it is picturesque in summer. Overlooks the old harbour, hosts and staff were friendly and helpful. Food was uncomplicated and well cooked.
Bad Points
A more extensive menu would help to enhance reputation. Although we enjoyed our deserts they could have been a bit more effort here.
General Comments
The Haven is not a five star establishment however it is a simple restaurant in a nice part of the Fife coast which will serve you good food. My wife and daughter enjoyed their choice from the menu as much as I did so no complaints on the food side other than a bit more effort with the deserts. It was a bit chilly although it has to be said it was a particularly windy day when we were there and the door to the downstairs area of the haven isn't exactly a storm door, not normally a problem as generally you are seated upstairs. If I am ever hungry in Cellardyke the haven will not be passed over and for sure I will be making a point of returning when the sun is shining.
