I read so many reviews about the Polti Vaporetto Lecoaspira steam cleaners before I bought one. No one raved about the machine but I must have foolishly thought I would have a different experience. I needed a steam cleaner to sanitize our van after it sat in 3 ft of muddy floodwater overnight. I justified the '500+ I would spend because to have the van cleaned professionally was '650. Just a year later and I am ready to scrap the machine. It shorts every time it is turned on.
The attachment pieces are flimsy and fragile and don't stay attached to each other once hot and my main vacuum handle is cracked although it has been not been manhandled.
This steam cleaner does not remove carpet stains (another reason i bought it) and soap scum still requires tons of elbow grease (easier to just wash with baking soda). The cleaner was useful cleaning areas I would normally have hauled a bucket of water. I could use the steam feature, then vacuum away water and wipe with a cloth. But that cleaning bonus was not worth the '500+ price tag and a shaky one year of use.
Sorry, but this is a bad buy.
