“How to lose money the fast way !”

Called this company to order a waterproof mattress and spoke to someone who suggested another which was more durable and for £20 extra would be worth it. I went ahead and the delivery was booked for the next day. I received an email that night to say that this mattress was not in stock and it would be at least another week before it could be 'ready for dispatch' Not delivered but ready to be delivered which could mean another few days. The Furniture 24/7 website did specifically state that this item was in stock so don't be fooled by this if you are even thinking of buying from these people! Cancelled the order that night and the next morning called another company who took the order efficiently and delivered the next day , earlier than stated, with absolutely no problems at all. Delivery was tracked and the driver was more than helpful. The mattress was of extremely good quality and just as described on the company's website. I have called Furniture 24/7 several times who have said they will either pass on the message or deal with it. Don't bother calling After Sales - they never answer. Call the main line and ask to speak to someone there. Emails are replied to but in an extremely rude manner with no apology and in the tone of speaking to a naughty child. Having taken legal advice, I am now in the process of obtaining forms to be lodged with the Small Claims Court. This costs very little so don't be put off doing this. Please read all the reviews on here and though there may be a sprinkling of good ones who may have just been lucky, the majority are very negative and should be enough to set off the alarm bells warning you not to part with good money to this company. How I wish I had thought to check this Company's reviews before ordering from them!
