“Reliable pet insurers ”

I have used pet plan for 24 years and wouldn't change. They are not the cheapest insurers but they are reliable. I have never had any problems with claims, pet plan assess your claim quickly and make the payment promptly. I genuinely have no complaints about their service at all and will continue to recommend them to everyone that needs a pet insurer.

The claim process is easy if you sign your form and hand it to your vet to complete -there is usually a small charge by the vets but it is worth it. You can either pay the vet and reclaim your refund from pet plan or contact pet plan before any treatment and agree for them to pay the vet directly - you will just have to pay the excess.

There are different levels of insurance so you need to be sure of what your level covers - some ilevels of nsurance you can only claim once for an illness so if your pet develops a lifelong illness that will require medications for the rest of their life you will only be paid out once and will have to pay yourself after that which is why they are a lot cheaper in the first place and once an illness is identifiied it will not be covered by a new insurer or if you do not maintain continuity of your insurance cover.

My advice is to check what the insurance company will pay out for, is there a limit to the amount you can claim each year and can you claim for the same illness the following year if it is ongoing?
