“Appalling Home Delivery Service”

Waited patiently for my grocery order to be delivered on Friday between 7pm & 9pm but it didn't arrive. Tried ringing several numbers I found on the Asda website but just got the same message on every one telling me that they were experiencing a high volume of calls at 10pm at night!! How many more people were waiting for grocery deliveries that never arrived? Sent an email to the customer service team but only got an automated response confirming receipt & promising a reply within 48 hours. No good to me as I wanted either my food order or a refund as soon as possible. Also found contact details online for Asda's CEO & sent him an email. Didn't expect a reply & wasn't disappointed. Next morning my online Asda account confirmed delivery of my order? So somebody somewhere was eating my food!! Still nobody answering the phones so drove to my nearest Asda store to find out what was going on only to be told my food order was there & I could go & collect it. According to the young lad who brought my shopping out to the car, the delivery driver couldn't find my address the previous night so had taken my shopping back to the store. I never found out why I didn't get a phone call that night to tell me this, they had my number & I could have given him directions. I did ask the question several times but nobody could explain. And guess what, the delivery charge still hasn't been refunded & there still hasn't been a response to my email from the "customer service team". So beware all potential new Asda Home Delivery Customers, read all the reviews, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
