“NOT WHAT IT SAY'S ON THE TIN!!! ”

written by Bea237 on 23/07/2016

Having had my Kia Sportage only 7 weeks and realising it was costing a fair bit to run now I'm doing the mileage, I decided to get a quote from WeBuyAnyCar - the online quote for £10,800 seemed reasonable given standard depreciation.
At this point I'd like to say that the website itself claims to give a guaranteed price if your vehicle is in the condition it claims to be in even though the website itself has NO OPTION to state or declare vehicle condition - guaranteed remember- within days I then received an email saying the value of my vehicle had increased to £11,000 which was an improvement on the original quote.

The vehicle is not immaculate, just driven off the forecourt being 3 years old but what it did have is minor scratches to the wheel arch plastic and ONE single chip to the rear boot door, so you can imagine my disgust when they offered £10,457 for it .... oh and minus the £75.00 admin fee and BACS fee if you'd like funds same day.
Naturally I walked away. Felt quite sorry for the poor fella who had to tell me the final price knowing that's not what we'd been quoted!

Bit of a farce, massively unfair and not going to do well on reputation if they blatantly lie to potential customers like that.

Certain governing bodies should put a stop to the massive profit margins and the reckless honouring of their so called promise.

ADVICE - Don't bother with WeBuyAnyCar unless you're absolutely desperate for the cash.
