“Arosa silva cruise experience ”

written by tvCasey217 on 13/07/2016

CONS - not enuf info tho Fleetway tried, it was their first booking for this boat but they maybe should have asked/confirmed more. ie. baggage with Lufthansa was confirmed at 10kg but i found later was actually 8kg, they said i could reserve seat 3 weeks before and it was actually 23 hours before. Asked about tipping and got a standard vague answer but on the boat it specified between 5-10 euros per person per day (recommended) i would have like to have known this, however, i would book with fleetway again and the cruise was excellent. It was a little disconcerting sitting at the far end of the dining room as a group. very separated from the germans, but on the other hand it meant that we actually bonded as a group very well and that was great.

Entertainment - almost non existent - football 3 nights with no alternative venue, i went on the sundeck to get away for 15 mins and it was completely in darkness, For the last night i asked at reception what was planned and they said nothing. Then obviously changed their mind and said that there would be music but it was limp. The captains free drink before dinner was as good as it got.

Vienna was brill, we took a horse and carriage ride, which was suggested but the prices given were completely wrong, but it was good.

PROS - the staff could not do enuf for you, especially in the restaurant and bar, lovely people. The boat was immaculate, swimming pool was good.
The captain kindly vacated his seat for photos too which was great and i missed it but they said he played guitar for some of the brits. The pay extra dinner "french night" was very good at 14.50 euros. served meal with all the trimmings. worth going and the people who went ot the 49 euros extra meal also said good.

I went with my sister who is unsteady on her feel re Parkinsons and it was a little difficult getting on and off the boat, and also the steps ot the sundeck, not ideal. They need to put a few more supporting handles.

Overall, everyone said how much they enjoyed it and i would go on a similar one again.
