“Lovely wedding anniversary break in Rome!”

We couldn't fault the A.Roma hotel - staff were so polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. We loved the decor, sculptures and general atmosphere. Before we arrived, we were a little concerned that the hotel was too far from the centre of Rome, but in fact it provided a lovely calm oasis at the end of the day and the shuttle service quickly linked us to the bustle of the city. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent too. I emailed the hotel in advance to arrange pick-up from Ciampino airport which cost 65 euros. (They have a shuttle to and from Fiumicino airport but not the smaller Ciampino one where Ryanair fly to, so you need to factor that in to your holiday cost). We weren't told at time of booking we were flying with Ryanair - not my favourite airline - but I should have asked! However, they were efficient and flights were on-time.
