Bad Points
Where do I start? My boyfriend and I were due to go on holiday to Cyprus but had to cancel a few days before because my boyfriend's Grandmother was dying of a stroke. We made a claim on the insurance, filled in all the relevant documents and sent off everything they needed. However, our claim was rejected due to my boyfriend's Grandmother being on high blood pressure medication. We thought this was absolutely ridiculous, as it is unreasonable to assume that we would have known that his Grandmother would have been prescribed this medication. To our knowledge she was not ill when we purchased the travel insurance, she was just living in a residential care home. It is not unusual for an elderly lady to be on some form of medication. Surely the company would not want to exclude any one with an elderly relative from obtaining travel insurance? We wrote a letter but received no reply, we also spoke to them on the telephone; they were very unhelpful.
General Comments
I would not recommend anyone to take out insurance with this company, they are completely useless.
