Booked a car from Goldcar Tenerife airport. Worst mistake ever. Had to wait 3 hours in a queue to get the car and then when I got to the desk the hard sell started for insurance cover. Didn't want the extra insurance so told I had to pre-auth 1100 euros in case of damage. When we went to get the car allocated it was nowhere to be found in the car park so had to go back to the desk again and wait another hour before we were allocated another one. On return their rep checked the car and agreed it was perfect no damage and then when I returned home 195 euros has been taken from my credit card for allegedly fix a broken front lock. It was working perfectly when we handed the key over. It was also a pliipper key so how it could be broken is beyond me. Absolutely livid .DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Totally unscrupulous company blatantly robbing their customers.
