“Fitted Kitchen”

WHY WHY WHY did I not take notice of the reviews on here? I wanted a new kitchen and shopped around. The thing that made me choose B&Q was the recommendation from WHICH. WHICH, the peoples champion, I thought I cant go wrong.
I was told that their best fitter would do the job. He came and did a survey, saying that he had so much work on that it would be two months before he could start. This didnt bother us because we were getting the best fitter. Two days before he was due to start b&q phoned us up and said the fitter had been changed and also the start date. They had us now because we decided to take the interest free credit option and had already payed two instalments.
The new fitter turned up on Tuesday and got stuck in, saying he would be finished by Friday. He was doing us a favour because he should have been on holiday but accepted our job, he also said that he wont be here on Friday ( funny you just said it will be finished on Friday. ) Ripped out Tuesday, plumber, electrician and gas all turn up on Wednesday, going great this ( perhaps he is being serious about Friday ) Thursday his two workers turn up cant do much got to wait for boss to do cutting out, I ask were is he, he is on another job but told he will be here tomorrow. Friday nobody turns up. Phone homefit to be told he has a family crises ( funny that he did tell me he wouldn't be here on Friday )
Turns up on the Monday And Tuesday tells me the units have been measured wrong and the corner posts wont fit. Phone b&q and ask for two new units, told they cant do because they are standard sizes, I say I want what I am paying for and what I was promised, they then offer me £50 compensation, LOL.
Thursday comes and the two lads turn up again, no boss. my wife is told that the job was finished. I come home to a very distressed wife who says its finished.
She shows me the finished job. The plastering is a disaster the unit lights are still in their boxes, the upstands are loose, part of the extractor fan is still in its box, a unit has a chip, and a poor effort was made at tidying up. Phoned homefit who ordered a new unit for the chipped one, guess what? that was chipped as well, so they ordered another one ( that one was ok )still waiting for that to be fitted 18 days after the start. We are sick of microwave meals now because we cant use our kitchen.
