“Value for money”

I have used MCE for many years now to insure my 1990 Honda PC 800.
I am a Driving Examiner, and it was me who took the owner of MCE and his wife for their bike tests many years ago. I do have VIP status with them, but I'm not convinced it has any benefits. I have always found them fair to deal with giving good value for the premium. They offer things inclusive, that most other companies charge extra for.
The phone team have always treated me fairly and are prepared to 'negotiate' when I phone up each year for renewal. This year I have renewed on line and my Comprehensive quote was only about £4.50 higher than last year for the same cover, so I didn't bother ringing up as I felt that was a fair deal.

Another reason I do not like ringing this company is that I find the bike racing noise and corny commentary they use on the phone extremely irritating, it really winds me up and is totally unnecessary, I would prefer some more calming music when waiting. Perhaps it's a ploy to put people off phoning and reduce the number of incoming calls, who knows, but I do wish they would scrap it.
MCE are not the cheapest for bike insurance, nor are they the dearest by far, but as I said they deliver a good deal for money.
