“Do not Trust this company with your travel”

I booked tickets from BNE to LAX using Skyscanner and the fares were at a really good rate. As I had used BYOjet once before with no problems, I booked with them.

When I received confirmation, I checked my airline profile and couldn’t access the bookings. After giving up trying to ring, I used the online chat and was told my booking was booked and confirmed and they gave me a new airline reference code. I logged into my airline profile and could see my booking, I checked with the airline and they confirmed there was a booking reference and they were waiting for the booking information from BYOjet.

Next day I checked with the airline that the booking had been ticketed, they advised that it had not been ticketed. I went back to the online chat and again was told the booking was ticketed and confirmed. This went on for another couple of days and I have in writing from the online chat conversations that my booking was confirmed and ticketed. On the fourth occasion after being told again that my ticket was confirmed, the online chat representative told me the travel consultant was reviewing and would send me an email.

I received an email some ½ hour later advising as per below;

In this instance your booking is not able to be confirmed by the airline and cannot be ticketed therefore the booking had been cancelled. There are a few factors that may influence availability and pricing. A major factor may include dynamic pricing by the airlines and this can change at any moment during the booking process.

I rang the airline to find out what the actual issue was and after the airline reviewed the transactions, it was apparent that BYOjet had made the reservation but then did not ticket the reservation.

How can you trust a company that provides you with confirmation that a booking has been made, has taken your money, continues to tell you that your booking is confirmed and then sends you an email telling you that the booking is cancelled. This company has no understanding of what Customer Service is.

On a positive note, the airline after reviewing what had happened, offered me the special fare which is why I will now always book with the airline and will never use BYOjet again.
