Initially, I found Amigo fantastic, the application was easy and the loan was paid out quickly. For 3 year I never missed a payment. However I when I became ill, I began to struggle financially. I contacted Amigo straight away. They refused to lower payments instead insisting they freeze the account, meaning I would be constantly in arrears and recieved endless emails and texts.
I tried to set up a payment plan on numerous ocassions only to be blocked by staff. Staff insisted that I could not afford to pay anything and refused to lower payments or set up a payment plan. AFter two months I returned to work and begged to set up a payment plan. Again thisi was refused by staff who insisted that I contact my other creditors and ask them to again lower repayments to them. They also suggest tryign to get outside support. I felt bullied and harrassed into doign this. Once I did what they asked, tryign despertley to free up money, instead of lowering payments they almost doubled my payments. I felt they had tricked me for their own gain. Staff were very rude and their bullying behaviour persisted. They stated that I should only have £20.00 left once my billd were paid and that spending time with my chldren outside my house was considered a luxury. I have been left so distraughted by their bullying tactics I can now only communicate in writing, which is never responded to and yet I get threatening letetrs. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!
