“Holiday in Lipari”

We had a lovely week at Hotel Mea in Lipari. We haven't used Fleetway Travel before & were very impressed with the hotel, excellent organisation & timing of transfers & the overall experience. Very pleasant location, comfortable room, helpful & friendly staff, lovely sea view from room & restaurant. Within easy reach of town centre but would be difficult for disabled as hotel up a hill & pavements not well maintained. Hotel evening meal menu was rather limited but was well presented & adequate. The breakfast was exactly the same on offer everyday, was a good continental selection but with scrambled eggs, sausage & bacon which were only luke warm every morning! We asked for a kettle in the room & were immediately given a kettle, milk, teabags & coffee. The room & hotel was spotlessly cleaned everyday & we had fresh fluffy white towels, bathrobes, toiletries, hair drier & white cotton bed linen. Unfortunately there was an ongoing problem with inconsistent hot water supply so on 3 days it was impossible to have a shower which was a bit inconvenient especially as we had been swimming in the unheated pool & needed to warm up!
