This joke of a company don't even deserve an award of 1 star. I was given a quote for my car insurance renewal, which I decided to cancel as it was nearly 4 times the amount I was currently paying. I called Endsleigh to cancel the insurance and was told by 2 different staff members on the same phone call my insurance was definitely cancelled.
Weeks later I received an email thanking me for renewing my insurance with them! I was horrified. I called them right away and was assured the policy had definitely been cancelled. Now a month down the line I have discovered to my utter DISGUST Endsleigh have been helping themselves to my bank account !!!
I contacted them asking what is going on , I cancelled this policy over a month ago and was assured by 3 different people it was certainly cancelled. The phone call lasted 16 minutes. 14 minutes of that time I was on hold whilst the person taking my call went back and forth to her supervisor as she clearly didn't know her job. the outcome was they told me I had never cancelled the policy , there was no records of me ever phoning them . I told them I have the records on my phone ? I have been insured by another company since I cancelled the Endsleigh insurance , why would I insure my car with 2 different companies that does not make any sense whatsoever? The phone call was a waste of time. Nobody listened to me and they blatently lied to me on the phone.
I would not advise anybody to go with this company as I fear 40 years from now I will still be fighting to cancel this policy . The staff are not trained in how to communicate clearly and effectively with their customers. They are Inexperienced and do not know what they are doing. 3 call handlers assured me this policy was cancelled and it was on their system. Yet they are unhealthily attached to me and refuse to let me go. Liars and rip off merchants who hold their previous customers prisoner and refuse to release them
