A few years ago I had a truly shocking experience at a ATS centre when they hammered balancing weights onto a brand new set of alloys and caused £200 of damage and refused to accept liability. Since then I have avoided, preferring to use my local main dealer for tyres/brakes.
Few weeks ago, I hit a pothole hard enough to split my tyre. While waiting for a recovery truck I rang a few centres and the only place with a tyre in my size was ATS in Erdington.
Was recovered to the centre and despite being very busy with work piling up and 6 people waiting, they slotted me in and got one of the guys to sort my car. New tyre duly fitted and bill paid within 20 mins. The manager was understanding to my plight of having 180 miles to drive that evening and made sure all was good to go, so many thanks and very greatful.
Fast forward to last Saturday, my remaining tyres were close to the wear limit so based on recommendations from friends, I went to ATS in Evesham. They swapped my tyres over quickly and easily, got my alignment checked and corrected at a fair price - incidentally the screen in the waiting area where you can see the adjustments and results is a good touch and gives more confidence that the job is being done.
So after a shocking experience a while ago, two different centres have made me change my mind about the company, the prices while not the lowest are fair, the two centre managers I have talked to were good and fair and no extra work was quoted that wasn't needed. I'm happy and Evesham as my local centre is likely to get a lot more custom from me and my wife in future. Many thanks.
