As someone coming from a BMX background, the first thing that really impressed me was the knowledge of the staff. You have to understand, Tarty Bikes were the first people in Street Trials I ever had contact with, so it was a huge relief to get expert advice from guys who are as enthusiastic about bikes as I am! I was undecided as to whether to got for a 24" or a 26" for my first trials bike; however the staff thoughtfully guided me through the pros and cons of each (there aren't any cons, by the way - its more about the kind of riding I'm doing, and my background in freestyle/ flatland BMX) thereby allowing to make an informed choice.
I went for an Inspired HEX 26 - which arrived as described in the courier tracking info, which again was first class, down to receiving a text message an hour before delivery. The bike arrived in a sturdy 4-ply cardboard box with a lovely Inspired. logo on the side. That glorious moment when you open the top of the box and carefully start lifting the wheels etc from it - something I noticed was how well everything was packaged. Even down to the wheels, which had large threaded disc protectors screwed in to each axle - these will be really useful for travelling abroad, or sending the wheels off for rebuilds/ tune ups and the like. Everything about the bike was 100% mint - the photos on the Tarty/ Inspired. websites do not give a true impression of how deep the paint finish is on these, never mind the quality of the welds...
Anyhow I digress, this is a online ordering review - suffice to say that you are unlikely to find a better, more enthusiastic, more professional group of guys than the Tarty Bikes crew. And its not just about them selling you abike, and forgetting about you; I still have regular contact with the staff there about everything from bike setup to riding spots to riding video links. Absolutely brilliant - the best I've ever dealt with!
