“ Be very careful what you book!”

We booked to visit Sharm El Sheikh through Yourholidays and all seemed good after finding a great looking price on icelolly.
First the advertised price was not offered, and we 'had to take bags' meaning the price was higher once other things were added. Then once our booking was confirmed and we became excited about a belated honeymoon trip, our flight was cancelled and we had to pay more to amend our booking to a cheaper date! Following the agreed amendment, my wife requested confirmation of our booking several times. It never arrived (only the atol certificate). Having heard that may flights to Sharm were being cancelled, my wife decided to call Yourholidays to confirm that our booking was still secure. To our amazement our flight had been cancelled and nobody had the decency to call us and discuss options. As we can not access the holiday now, we felt it best to cancel and book elsewhere. We were now informed that our booking was made up of separate parts (dynamic package) and we were bound by hotel providers terms and flight providers terms rather than protected as a package booking as was initially intended! As such we stand to lose £149 of our money despite Yourholidays never actually stating that we had changed from package to 'dynamic package.' My advice if you are planning to book with Yourholidays is confirm your package type as these unscrupulous traders are not open, honest or forthcoming with their obligations to you and can quickly attempt to clean their hands of dealing with issues by claiming holidays are booked as a dynamic package. I wouldn't have minded so much, but had I wanted to book a holiday made up of different parts/supplier, I would have used trivago, Expedia or similar and not this agent who offers much and delivers very little! I dare say I could have booked different parts cheaper but wanted it all done in one place for ease of booking. Anyway, final reminder, GET CONFIRMATION OF YOUR TYPE OF BOOKING SO THEY CANNOT SIMPLY WITHHOLD ANY MONEY WHEN THEY CANCEL/CHANGE YOUR BOOKING.
